Devonport’s a great place to be based – see if you can start from Hell’s Gates – there are 1-2 more significant river crossings to do – such that I’d get hold of a pack raft to do the longer trip. There are people in Hobart who use pack rafts – and may be on for doing the trip themselves. Have fun. Tom
